It's a Crime

The pulsing light of a television bled

throughout the room

as the only form of illumination.

The stench of soiled clothes

and months of dirty dishes

made this a crime scene

unlike any other.

Where do you start

or do you just turn around

knowing this is one case

that will never be resolved.

Teenagers.

That is a horrible crime scene but a great 55.

Having raised three children, I've seen my share of crime scenes.

Great 55, Monkey Man! I will be excited to have my house back to being clean after they all move out. I think I'll just put some yellow, crime scene tape around the girl's room for Halloween to add to our decorations!

I couldn't get this to publish. Sorry if there's a duplicate comment!

ROFL!! Did you hear my scream of appreciation? We're still cleaning out our oldest daughter's room, now that she's on her own. Some jaw-dropping moments are happening in this house... oh, man.

Great 55!

Great 55. The way I solved this kind of crime when I had teens in the house was to CLOSE THE DOOR! It worked just fine. Out of sight, out of mind.

Perfect and apt description of that alien species and their lifestyle.

A match? I seriously considered torching the basement when all 5 of mine were teenagers AT THE SAME TIME! No wonder I drank :-)

Loved the 55, not so much the reminder.

You can find my 55 HERE.

Have a good weekend,

Chef Kar

Mine aren't teens yet. They still create crime scenes though.
