The pulsing light of a television bled
throughout the room
as the only form of illumination.
The stench of soiled clothes
and months of dirty dishes
made this a crime scene
unlike any other.
Where do you start
or do you just turn around
knowing this is one case
that will never be resolved.
Teenagers.

That is a horrible crime scene but a great 55.
Having raised three children, I've seen my share of crime scenes.
Great 55, Monkey Man! I will be excited to have my house back to being clean after they all move out. I think I'll just put some yellow, crime scene tape around the girl's room for Halloween to add to our decorations!
I couldn't get this to publish. Sorry if there's a duplicate comment!
:)
LOL. Sure it'll be resolved. Eventually they move out. Hopefully.
Oh, yes, so true. I remember it well.

Loved how you ended this one! I know the scene well...
ROFL!! Did you hear my scream of appreciation? We're still cleaning out our oldest daughter's room, now that she's on her own. Some jaw-dropping moments are happening in this house... oh, man.
Great 55!
Oh yeah...I still have one at home!
I can certainly relate!!
Excellent 55 Monkey Man...
Thanks for visiting, thanks for playing, and have a mess-free Week-End...G
Great 55. The way I solved this kind of crime when I had teens in the house was to CLOSE THE DOOR! It worked just fine. Out of sight, out of mind.

I had to think a minute, then busted out laughing!
Perfect and apt description of that alien species and their lifestyle.
A match? I seriously considered torching the basement when all 5 of mine were teenagers AT THE SAME TIME! No wonder I drank :-)
Loved the 55, not so much the reminder.
You can find my 55 HERE.
Have a good weekend,
Chef Kar
LOL! how true that is! :D
Oh how I can relate to this. MM, you must help me get into this 55 writing.
But I simply loved this!
Soft love my friend,

Mine aren't teens yet. They still create crime scenes though.
