Post Apocalypse 55

The long war had finally ended.
Disease and violence
had taken its toll
through the entire apocalyptic event.
A new world of normalcy now prevailed.
In a small recovering town,
a bell jingled
with the opening of a door
as the bent shopkeeper slowly grunted,
“Whut kin Ah git fur ya?”
“Brains,”
came the reply.

Never open the door--or go down in the basement, or get out of the car and wander off into the dark woods.
As a sidenote, brains are higher in cholesterol than any other body part.Just sayin.
Happy Zombie Walk, MM.

Brilliant flash fiction! And that picture is actually the grossest I've seen on the walk so far, believe it or not!!

The first rule of Zombieland: Cardio. When the zombie outbreak first hit, the first to go, for obvious reasons... were the fatties.

So, wanna work out?

PattiKen said...

Oh, yuck. That is disturbing on so many levels...

I can't believe how grossed out I get every time I see a picture of a brain on a plate! The red liquid is what really pushes that photo over the edge.
