Sunday 160 - Frozen Fire

The frozen winter wind penetrated
layers of clothing
and chilled to the bone.
Even the fires of a sunset
couldn't remove the cold
that descended upon the earth.

What an amazing picture.... upon looking at the picture it seems to emit warmth not a chill because it looks like fire in the sky!

Bring back the summer. I want hot weather. Now.

we had our first snow last night, and that's what it looked like just about. It was a little early this year for good ole NC. I'm ready for summer :)

Loved your "Frozen Fire" today. Reminded me of when I lived in Boston, MA--I never thawed out all winter long.

Oh my goodness! I'm so so sorry. What was I thinking? Obviously I wasn't thinking. I was under 160 WORDS, not characters.

Please forgive me. I'll try again.

I was feeling like my house was cold but after reading that, I'm freezing!

If I could fashion a coat out of your words surely I would stay warm.

According to your poignant prose, you must live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, or somewhere even more godforsakenly cold!
Beautiful as always my friend.

That sounds like such a paradox, the fires being unable to melt!

reminds me of Claudio's speech from shakespeare's measure for measure, where he talks about hell of ice!

I could feel the chill.
