We had hoped for shades of red.
Deep, blood red.
So when you walked by
you felt the passion
and wished to take your
partner by the hand,
grasp her close to your
chest and kiss her
with severe affection.
We waited with great anticipation
for it to bloom.
Watching the red tips peek
from the green edges
only to find the bloom -
Pink.
Beautiful, but passive.
A poor step sister to the
bright flame of Black Magic.

But they're both so pretty...and I'm sure they each serve their own purpose! Great pictures.
wow. that red one is blood red...a good mix of both might be good...passion and passive...happy tt!
Pink is very nice foreplay.
Very well written! I agree, that flower is really is blood red.
At the risk of sounding contrary, I think I prefer the pink.
I am thinking Being There--Shirley Mc and Peter O'Toole--Chance the gardener...delightful post! Happy TT
Love the blood red one very nice a
Love it M&M
Ha! Well done! The two colours truly do give off completely different vibes in the same flower, don't they? Nice. :)
Monkey Man,
I came over via GEM, Dark Side of the Moon page. Congrats on the Award.
Mind if tag along--I feel right at home here!

Pink has its virtues too. None inferior, only 'different'
Oh... So pink is just the poor step sister of red... I guess that's one way of seeing it... :)
Interesting. Love/ JO.
pink gets the "reject" award
Poor thing
nice pink
See ya Sunday with my 160
Oh, I'm all for pink love, all young and innocent. The red one, and its "severe affection" are a little too intense for me.
My post for Pink, close to my heart, is up here.
Very interesting!
"and kiss her with severe affection."
I love when this happens.
I must admit I like the red much better.
