Sunday 160 - Heartless

As the coroner made his “Y” incision
and opened the cadaver’s chest,
his assistant gasped,
“He has no heart.”
“He was a Wall Street CEO…
he didn’t need a heart.”

Came across Sunday 160 from Flash Fiction 55, so decided to try it.

Yours is very neat and so relevant. I hope he died a painful death...

Wall street is not meant for the faint-hearted, it is not meant even for the brave-hearted. It is meant for heartless! Nicely written,

I am coming back after a long time, since life got busier. Here is my entry:

I think peaceful revolutions are good-even if there are many, many
parts and opinions. I salute
those who get off the chairs
and go! Thanks.

Makes you wonder sometimes if that's true!

I finally managed one this week.

Yeah, you really do have to wonder how these CEOs can stomach the self-puffery and salaries, etc. blown out of proportion. Great 160.

I'm participating for the first time! I've made futile attempts before (it's not easy to be brief and also count characters, yo). Thanks for keeping this going, Monkey Man.

Sad but true.
There are just some vocations where a living breathing heart is nothing but a liability.

Here's mine second attempt :)

Nicely penned - it's a very heartless day indeed. Or is it...?

Happy October 9th.

Monkey Man said...

Not heartless at all. Rather it was a day of two hearts joined. Happy 19th...Mrs. MM.

Yeah, that's about right.
