Knowing he was taking his life into his own hands,
he continued his task
and hoped SHE wouldn’t see.
He reached out
and carefully wedged the forbidden tool
between food and pan.
Suddenly, he felt a blade
pierce his back
and heard the voice say,
“I told you, no metal spatulas on my Calphalon pan.”

Fun gotcha-ending work.
dude, seriously you gotta watch it or you will end up splayed on the side of the road in the snow...just saying...smiles.
Awesome prequel!

Oh, gosh, why do I think this is a little too close to the truth for so many households -- mine included! :)
Excellent, Monkey Man!
xo
A very Lucas-like prequel, with a nice Hitchcock touch--and I love the insane crook with all the zzz's in his name in the post below--what a system. Guess he was left holding the bag--or was the bag left holding him, eh? Loved the psycho 55.
Oh too funny...I think I've imagined this scene in my mind when hubby makes that same mistake!
As I recall...
She was already aquitted!!
That would make you go insane..
Loved the continuation KP.
Most excellent 55
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End!!
Ha, great prequel. He apparently knew what was coming to him, so sympathy doesn't run too deep.
teehee -great 55!
Exactly! Great 55, Monkey Man!
That was scary fun. I need to go read part one (or is it part two?)
laughing so hard I can hardly stand it!
Excellent 55, and great idea to write a prequel!
(BTW - In my house, I'm usually the one getting the blame for ruining pans...so I sympathize with your protagonist!)
You are soooo good at these, dang!
Exactly the reason this chef uses All-Clad, metal spatulas not only allowed, but encouraged! Great prequel MM.
Here's mine: Friday Flash 55 ~ Daytime Mask
Absolutely MASTERFUL 55, Monkey Man! (even though I had to look up 'calphalon'--grin!) And the greatest Part I for Pheromone's "Jump-the-gun (knife)" ending last week. LOVED them both
Alright, you just want to hear me admit that YOU had to teach your WIFE not to use metal on non-stick pans way back when you two first met. But I won't. Nope. Nice try...
Thanks for the shout out!
I've gotten that "look" a few times in the kitchen. One of these days, I might forget to use the cutting board once too often, and the look might turn into something much more painful.
You can hardly blame her.
It could be over if you mess with the Calphalon...
hee hee heee, delightful!
My other half brought a non-stick pan with him when he moved in. He'd had it years, but three years with me and it's peeling!
It wasn't me. Honest!
I'm up here.
This is awesome 55ff I bet this goes on well close enough in many households -- great 55 and PG too.
I burnt two pots and one tea kettle the past two months, I get totally engrossed in doing research and simply forget I'm cooking dinner, -- we do take -out and eat out a lot so no metal to nonstick worries here, and now less pots to cook in.

Hmmm, did the voice use the right blade on his back?
Did she get it in without hitting a rib? man I have heard that same voice so many times now I live on peanut butter.
Wow and I thought I was PMSing. Entertaining 55 :)
lol! Seems he likes to live dangerously :)
Hey, he had it coming. Just saying.
lolsssss
very well done.... hahaha
I almost exclaimed seeing the image- thankfully the words weren't so stained- or were they?
Laughing still..
hugs xox
Blood on the brownies!! I used to threaten my own children with such if they nicked the teflon! I wonder how much of the stuff we consumed over the years! My new Circulon seems much sturdier.

Awesome. Well deserved.
I had a roommate like that once.
... well... do you KNOW what good kitchen pans cost!! I almost don't blame her! (I'm sure he had been warned many times)... LOL :)
Oh no no no no! You do not take metal to that kind of pan.
I've worked with chefs who had similar notions...and tempers.
