Restlessness replaced sleep.
Nausea and cold sweats enveloped him.
The craving was intense
but he knew he could no longer get his fix.
Football season was over.

LOL. My addiction is much easier to handle. I only have to get down to a book store for my fix.

My partner could so easily have written this ... scarily true! :o)
...on any given Sunday...:)
Mine is here
Yeah, even though my team sucked I do miss football season! There's always next year.

Do they still make those table top electric ones that vibrate the players through the quarters? Or do you have to switch to foosball now?

Sounds like my son, but he also loves basketball (GO BLAZERS) and Nascar. I also love a good car race, must be the redneck in me. Take heart, it's only a few short months til it starts again.
Mine is up.
That's exactly what I was thinking this morning!
I had already changed that last line to read:
"but he knew he could no longer get his fix
Football season had begun."
Football more powerful than coke?
Woo-Hoo!

Haha!
This is how I feel whenever I haven't had candy in a few days. Or if I've gone too long without reading a book.
Good one!
So sorry you're going through withdrawal--sounds rough!
Here is my 160 for today: http://bodhirose.wordpress.com/2011/02/13/miss-you/
I know it's late on Sunday, but after a grotty night's sleep , today was a write off! However, I thought I'd let you know I'd not forgotten you - I've just written this, and decided to put it in a comment here, instead! LOL :)
The midnight oil was burning, but of a sudden, I realised there was a bird singing its heart out in the darkness. My heart sang too, with the unexpected melody.
Damn sound like football is pretty addictive EH?
Early Spring
Gosh, MM!! These addictions!! I wish I knew a way to "control" my chocolate urge!! :))
I gotta learn from him!! :)) Ahh... lessons.. lessons!!
Here's my 160 for today!
Hey MM...over on this side of the ocean the late night movie was "Friday Night Lights"
Suffice to say I "get" it now..not the rules of the game mind you, but the passion for it is something else!
There's got to be a 12 step program somewhere!
~wink~
Mr Monkey man.....shshshshshshsh
The same thing is happening in this house. I saw some basketball in passing, and I saw him outside fertilizing the grass, and now it's a Rocky movie? Wow. I'm so sorry.
