Sunday 160 - Apparition?

When she opened the door
a blur rushed into the room.
“Don’t let the dog in”, he said.
“I didn’t,” she replied.
He looked about.
The dog was nowhere to be seen.

Friday night I was standing at the side of my bed talking to my wife. Our seventeen year old daughter opened the bedroom door and I saw blur of color come around the end of the bed and past my legs. Since it was only in the periphery of my vision, I thought it was our dog. When I looked down, nothing was there. I asked my daughter and wife if they saw the image. Both said yes. My daughter is convinced it is the ghost of one of our old dogs, but we did have an alter honoring my mother on All Souls Day...Do ya think?

The old man who built our house is still with us. He has a favorite spot in front of the refrigerator and by the front door.

Hope you keep it loaded with the safety off near at hand. Those blurs can be deadly.

Oh, I like Izzy's explanation. A ghost dog for sure. A friendly one, of course.

I won't be plaaying this week. I'm out of town until Tuesday. Happy Sunday, everyone.

Ooooh...spooky. I like the idea of a ghost dog, though. Nice.

I may get something up later, not sure. I'll be back to let you know if I do.

Happy Sunday,

Hey MM! I see "spirit" or "shadow" animals relatively often; dogs and cats. So, it very well could be a passed pooch coming to say hello! I think an alter to your Mom was wonderful, but unless she made it a habit to walk way low on all fours I can't imagine it being her! Then of course, if she was a "character" then who knows what silliness she may have been up too! Regardless, I believe you saw something pleasant. Just throwing in my two...ummm...coconuts!?!?

In the house I grew up in, we used to see a cat's blur and hear the little footsteps run down the stairs almost daily...it never scared us, we just accepted our ghostly pet as part of the family. Nice one, MM. I will be posting sometime today...depends on when my brain decides to kick into the right gear :)

I've seen our cats who've passed away in the hall. My daughter has seen them too.

The one who passed away in our home will always be here, I'm sure of it.

Hope you and yours are happy and well.....

Oooh I've had things like that happen, it certainly makes you think ... it is sort of exciting when you're with someone though ... but VERY scary when you're completely on your own, I know from experience!! eek :o)

Great 160! You had me hooked from the beginning. I think I might have to give this a try. In other news, that's kind of spooky...I'm thinking the dog but who knows!

Have a great day!

Interesting. Being that I am a believer in ghosts, I also like to protect myself from anything negative. The house I used to live in had a couple of them. The reason why I say "a couple" is because each and every one of us saw an older lady in a white gown (so typical right?) and a gentleman who actually passed away in that house back in the 60's. Usually, they were seen out from our peripheral view, or a quick glance, but you got every detail of the image. It was interesting for the most part and never "scary"... But I do believe that on Halloween that the veil between the two worlds comes down. It's whether or not we're "aware" enough or have the sensibility to pick up on it.

Spooky! I'm going to go with it was nothing. I like to just always say that. I don't want to imagine it really was something. Too scary...

A chilling but warming vision, if you can handle the two words together.
I laid in my hospital bed the other night, and I heard my name called. "Chris?" someone said. "Yes?" said I. No answer. No one in the room.
I might just go blog about this. You have inspired me.

Oooh...chilling!!
But if it indeed is your dog, I am sure he just came by to check on you...
But I would like to believe it was just some blue flash of light from somewhere outside...

Nicely written though, MM!! brr...

Interesting. I've had some similar things happen. I guess there are some things we just won't completely understand until we get there.
