Non-Fiction 55

Young Quincy hobbled along
on his teal cast
with the lime green
lightning bolt painted on it.
He tried pretending
he was a super hero,
but as his leg
dragged beside him
he was too slow
to live up to the
emblazoned lightning design.
Truly, he just had to face - his was a dog’s life.

Awww. Isn't he cute. At first I thought this was about a person until I saw the picture. Reminds me of the three-legged cat I saw hobbling across my sister's patio in the desert. Nice going here!

The poor little chap. He's lucky he's got you (and probably a treat or two) to cheer him up.

Great 55 and your little Quincy, invalid though he is, must be a sweet patient.

It'll all be worth it when the darn thing comes off. At least we live in an age when something CAN be done about broken bones.

But this does have a counting theme...Quincy is counting down until the cast is off and he can run again. Excellent 55...

Aw, poor pooch! And to have a lightning bolt and no spark left is almost cruel. :)

Hope he heals fast and doesn't tire you out. What? You don't expect him to let HIMSELF outside, do you? ;)

Aww, the poor thing, must be hard for a dog to put up with a leg in a cast.
Though, the 'emblazoned lightning design' reminded me of Bolt...
