Sunday 160 - Fall's Cold

A golden eye squeezed open
and greeted the misty morning haze
with a shiver, unable to shake the chill.
Even a fiery display of color
couldn't warm fall’s cold.

This is vividly beautiful MM. I was captivated from the first few words. The entire poem is wonderfully cohesive.

Hi Monkey Man, I've come to play today. :-) I like the rhythm and pacing of your poem. It is what I think a crisp, cool autumn morning is.

I used the word shiver in mine, too, and I wasn't even talking about Fall.

Fall's chill has been in the air for a few weeks now, here in Ontario. I know about sunrises seen but not felt...but no spectacular mountains to view them against around here, though. Fabulous shot!

I think you've outdone yourself with this 160, if that's possible. The poem is stunning just like the picture.

Beautiful, MM. And the photo is amazing. I once flew into Portland and saw Mt. Hood's peak up close and personal from the plane window. It was about as close as I ever want to come to a mountain peak while I'm in a plane.

I'm in with a little a wildlife fun

Very ethereal. I had to say something, cuz my brain was stuck on the Eye of Sauruman, from Lord of the Rings. Sorry, I read too much sci-fi and fantasy.

mine is up, happily this time!

Oh, monkey man, monkey man...sorry I like your blog. It's your fault. Write worse. You don't have to "recognize" the award if you don't wanna. The point was that I was calling out blogs that I haven't been following long, you primate. Blog writing & colon cleansing could be a tough combo. :)
