With all five children
safely tucked in bed,
he began working on his project.
Splashing his home
with the volatile liquid,
he muttered to himself,
“I’ll show her.”
His hands trembled
as his fevered, sick mind
reached into the small box
and ran the wooden stick on its side.
Ssskkkriiitttchhh.
WHOOSH!
Only tomorrows headline remained.

oh, this is the most heartbreaking thing.
I've never understood this thing for killing your whole family, which is in our news a lot--unlike this case, usually the person kills everyone else and then somehow doesn't have the guts to kill him or herself. this one is just appalling all round.
All too often.
Yes, I'll take out the entire family, all the innocent ones, just to teach someone a lesson.
