A crystalline cloud seemed to blur his sight.
No amount of eye rubbing or blinking
helped to remove this blight.
It had been hardly noticeable until this day.
Worry froze his mind.
His eyes were his life.
Color and imagery his profession.
He cried out for help
and the answer came,
“Dad, clean your glasses.”

That made me chuckle for sure!
My hubby once had some of his eyeball rub off and float around, scared the heck outta him until the doc said it would be absorbed and all fine.
xo
This is the story of my life. It's like pea soup before I manage to clean my glasses! Nice!
Whew! Far better to have dirty glasses than a detached retina. Or a TIA... or...
Yeah.
Good one, MM!
Oh my...this is so me!
Gotta keep the optics clean, Pop... Good call on the part of the kid. LOL Well done!
Mine go uncleaned for days.
When I do clean them it's like that Clariton commercial.
Great 55 MM.
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End!
This sounds familiar!
Good one, Monkey Man!
Looks like peanut butter to me! (My 3 year old is addicted to it and also loves to touch my glasses..) great 55!
Hmmm...maybe it was YOU that caused the whole incident I wrote of today.
Nicely done! Where's the cleaning cloth? You KNOW Windex is bad...
What a great happy ending. I was worried for a minute. Love to come here for a bit of cheer.
Teresa
hehe...breathing easier now....
Hmmm...Perhaps I have a similar problem. I thought it was foggy this morning on my drive in to work, but maybe not...? :)

love this..made me think of Doc Hollywood (wont bore ya, but similar story), thanks for the fun!
You're always good for some wisdom and a smile.
Or not and call it a new school of artistic expression.
Yup, Keep it simple, silly! If I wake up to quick from a nap sometimes, I can panic over things like that too- Easy does it man! Good 55 Thanks!
Delightful! :o)
That's my husband--though he isn't prone to panic. I've seen his glasses so filmed over that his eyes are barely visible--eventually he figures it out...nice 555--and I liked you tale of poop and the scofflaw below, also. As a gardener I agree totally about the free-pooping cats in my flowerbeds, which long ago forced me into wearing gloves.
Looks like you got dive-bombed by a pigeon! (LOL!)
Nice 55, Double-M!
In Cal that cloud is radioactive!!
glad it's just the glasses
Happy Weekend
Moonie smiles
awesome 55, love the picture!!
Good advice - now, where's the screen?
lol! That sure happens many a times with me too! :D
ha nice - maybe should clean my glasses as well...thought it's such a foggy day today...smiles
LOL. Been there, done that.
Smiles.. thank goodness it was just that- lolssssss
Wonderful post- fun n laughter included..
Hugs xoxox
Cool! I like this. My glasses are always dirty, ever since I got my last prescription with anti glare coating. Never again.
Cute. I laughed. This is fun. I am enjoying my first 55.
Smiles,, I agree with Bubba's comment -- back east there was a joke we would say 'don't look up" and of course someone would look while a pigeon was flying over head.
enjoy the day we have SUN SHINE,
joanny
I love these! That last line made me laugh out loud. :)
So glad your poems usually always end in a humorous fashion. I find myself feeling like "Oh god, what bad thing is going to happen..." I'm nail biting...and then, buddy has dirty glasses. Phew!
Love it! You're a creative genius!
hahahaha! Most of the time the simplest answer is the correct one. ;-)
I use my glasses for distance and driving but, I swear, cleaning them never enters my mind. Occasionally, if one of my sons is in the car when I drive and I ask them to hand my glasses to me, I get just that kind of comment, about how dirty they are. A swipe of the lens cloth makes an incredible difference! I thought I might be developing cataracts! Oops, reminds me, my optomotrist called the other day. It's time for my annual appointment.
Cute 55!
great 55.. made me smile.....'Dad clean your glasses'..here is my poetic 55... a dream she is... a kiss seals it...
Someone is Special
magical ending....
I am glad I need no glasses.
fabulous 55.
