Sunday 160 - Spring Shivers to Life

Spring fashioned itself
in a haze of pinks, whites and greens
on the skeletal frames of trees.
The colors warmed the heart
but temperatures kept you bundled up.

MM

Lovely Sunday 160, Well we did have one nice day on Saturday, I think? It came and went so quickly, I can't seem to catch up to all the work lately, but I did write a Sunday 160 in the very early hours before dawn.

"The skeletal frames of trees" is one of your best lines.

South of you, we're in tank tops one day and sweatshirts the next. 88 degrees last Thursday; 65 yesterday. If I were a plant I would feel bipolar.

Very truthful...ugh.

Not too many colors yet on the east side of the Cascades! Your 160 is getting me primed though.

It's enough shivering to get our attention. Good one.

I am so far from Spring its not funny. My 160 has more of a wintry chill today due to a miserable drive home this afternoon. Send some sunshine my way Monkey!

i've never counted as i'm sure you're an honest man, but your 160's always look so much longer than mine. {smile} yours is quite lovely this week.

i'm late and i used the 160 as the prose part of a haibun, but it stands on its own without the additional haiku. i look forward to Sundays. 160's are much harder than i thought they'd be! dani

spring is a tease lol - showing little bits and yet hiding the best until it bursts on us - soon!
