Sunday 160 - Never Good-bye

Do we ever really say good-bye?
Emptying our mind of thoughts,
memories and emotion?
We miss the talk, the touch
and the person
but we never truly say good-bye.

Goodbye! There, I said it.

You're right, I was still thinking of you even after I said it.

It's just an expression.. Memories stay with us like some vividly captured snapshots! Quite for the same reason I don't use the expression in my daily life.. I keep it to "See you"

Very insightful 160..

Selective amnesia might be nice. Have you read Jill Price's memoir? She's a woman with perfect autobiographical recall. Intriguing, but not a condition I'd like to have.

Here's my 160

A lovely 160, MM. For some reason, I'm thinking about the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (at least I think that's the right name?) right now.

I'm in on the 160 this week, too. Mine is Here.

No, we never really ever say goodbye--that's so true, Monkey Man. Lovely 160--very tender.

Hard to say goodbye--I've said it,and said it a lot, but as you say, there's always something left in the corner of the mind.

Here is mine.

I know already that it is wrong because I only counted the characters not the spaces as well. Please forgive.

Just: "Adieu"- at one point in H.S.
" Later" pronounced laytar... Thanks.

Love this! I've never thought of "good-bye" this way but it's so true. As long as you continue to hold someone in your heart, they can never really be gone.

Sandra said...

Nope. We never do.

Susan Cowger said...

Love and good-bye are mutually exclusive. Indeed.
