Sunday 160 - Too Green?

Young, green and innocent,
his whole life lay ahead of him.
Little did he know
that an evil man
with an extremely sharp knife
had other ideas about his future.

Other ideas indeed. Poor little gourd, but it's a noble end.

What is he, by the way? I see others say "pumpkin" but he looks more like a squash or melon.

My shoulder-tap on a 160 is up here.

I don't have one. I was very disturbed by yours, however. Who is watching out for the watermelon's rights, safety & well-being. I have found a new soapbox.

lol - I was a little worried there until I saw the pic beneath the words... well done!

But the evil man was probably going to make something terribly delicious so it needed to die in the name of gluttony!

It's funny how poetry can mean so many things. I didn't see the picture before I read it. The picture shows the context you meant for this poem, however, without it, I was thrown back to the murder of one of my best friends at the age of 21. A man with a knife who had other ideas about her life.

Thank you for bringing her back to life for me.

You say on your comment block to toss you a vine. It appears to me you already have one of those and it is productive.

Ha! Wonderful 160, MM. :)

I've been away 2 weekends in a row, so haven't had a chance to play recently. But I'll be back this upcoming Sunday. Promise.

I know that it's technically not too late to play this week, but I'm just too tired to think at this point. Check out my blog to see why... :)

Happy Sunday!
