Sunday 160 - Is nothing Sacred?

Nick's Original Coney Island
100% beef hot dogs
smothered in all meat chili,
onions and cheese.
All was good until I heard -
"Order up! Veggie dog.”
Sacrilege.

Nice for me I am a vegan. Seems I have company with the "Stranger"

Based on what goes *into* one of those "all beef" dogs, I know that I should probably choose the veggie dog...

Nah! :)

Mine is up... HERE.

Hi Monkey Man - I heard about your 160 challenge via Brian's post and thought I'd give it a go.

There is only one non meat dog product I can think of that vaguely resembles that picture and I am sure it would not be found in a bun covered in chili, onions and mustard.

A good old Polish sausage with meat is the only way to go!

It sounded delicious until that last line. ACK> Who wants to eat a hot dog that's good for you?

I love chili dogs with cheese (hold the onions, please; they no longer like me). But in school I once did a report on just what "all-meat" hot dogs contained. It's all meat, alright. I still eat them, but it's like flying. I just can't think about it too much or I couldn't do it.

I'm dancing into Sunday here.

That vegan dog in disguise - not sure i could eat it

Great use of your 160 today :)

The thing I don't get is why you'd want chilli on your hot dog. Just onions and mustard for me please!

Actually considering what goes into an all-meat hot dog...veggies is NOT that disgusting a thought.

Maude Lynn said...

Veggie dog? Is that even legal?

HulaBuns said...

Nice 160! But a veggie dog?! What was in it?

Caty said...

I agree with Tabor, but that's just cause I consider hot dogs "junk meat". nasty! But for all the hot dog lovers out there, I can see your point :)

Marla said...

That whole veggie dog thing is just wrong! What's next? Tofu Twinkies?

Claudya Martinez said...

That happens a lot here.

Sandra said...

Oh come now, anything drenched in chili meat sauce would taste like chili meat sauce, even if it was a veggie dog.
Thanks for submitting yourself to the utter humiliation of reading my post about birthing. You're a trooper! Next time one of my post starts off with the word 'vagina' though, I suggest you run for you life!
But thanks! And no, I have no idea how I did on the exam, but I suspect not very well :(

Icky, icky, icky. That sounds like something my vegetarian sister would order. Ew.

BTW, Lerlene from my Mexican restaurant post IS Nadine & Flo's friend. :)
