Heat dripped from the skies
like condensation
from the roof of a sweat lodge.
Even the wind bore down
like billows to a smelter.
August arrived with full force.

I wish we had temperatures like this - but here in Germany it's cool and rainy....
nice and hot 160 - and mine is up as well
Have a great Sunday!
I was just thinking about that today, how many places are at their hottest in August, while Montana tends to start cooling down.
Mine is here

it was actually kinda overcast here yesterday...which kept it rather cool...a nice relief from the heat so far this summer...
my 160 is here.
I can live with it as long as it is not a harbinger of what February 's bite is going to be like.
Ripe and mellow fruitfulness...
You bet, its kind of hot August this season!
We're already moving into fall. I feel for ya...
Mine's here.
Your picture looks exactly like how it feels here in South Florida.
Your words are a perfect description.
Mine is up.

NICE one, monkey man...i can feel my skin blistering while i sit in front of the air vent ;) but if i stepped outside, your 160 served up the truth for those of us living in central kentucky!
you really chose power packed words...awesome!
I hear you! It's way too hot here too. Makes it so I don't even want to go outside. Not that I could stay out very long if I wanted to!

It took my breath away.
How accurate this is. It's 8 a.m. here and already 75. Tomorrow it's 102 they say. I'm not sure folks even sweat this much inside a sweat lodge. Your words are right on target. My 160 is up.
Truer words were never written any better than these...it's just HOT! Hotter then 40 hells here in Tennessee :) Excellent 160!
I did a little romance for mine, here

Cheers! and a big glass of sweet iced tea :)
"Heat dripped from the skies..." Oh, I like this. Wonderful imagery. Now, where's my fan?
Oh, and I'm up here.
It's beautiful and cool in Philadelphia today. Slightly rainy too. After a Summer full of heat waves it is nice to catch a break. I tried my first 160 today.
Sunday 160: Almost New Room
Love your 160! Heatwave here too... should have written about it like you instead of grumbling :)
Mine is here.
Definitely capture the essence of August.

You did a blockbuster job in 160 characters, MM. It's always a treat to see what you've done. A few rivulets of sweat ran down my cheekbones for a moment there. It's lovely here in CA. Clear and warm and still. You must be taking the heat for us.
Just the way I like it! :)
Gorgeous 160, MM. I'm taking the week off, but should be back next time!

An awesome one, MM!!! Thanks...
Here is my 160... it's slightly different.. so, please be kind :)
I could feel the heat.
Sort of like when you can see it rising from the pavement.
beautifully written... sounds to me like you are having a hot summer. I wish I could say the same!
I hate summer. You captured the heat of it brilliantly.
Boy Howdy, did it ever!
