Sunday 160 - Summer's Heat

A gentle breeze
danced across his back
cooling beads of sweat
and giving temporary relief
from the sweltering heat.
He enjoyed
the life giving warmth
of summer.

This hits close to home for me. I had to wash my face three times today to get the salt off from sweating.

Ijust let the dogs lick the sweat off me, that way i know they are having both their need for water and salt met.

For every beautiful benefit there is usually a price to be paid. A little sweat for a gorgeous summer day? I say the "Price is Right".

Love this 160.

Mine is up.

I enjoy summer too, except when I don't. Your gentle breeze is what's missing on some days of sweltering heat. Nice 160, MM.

I’m up here.

I also love the summer time, but instead of waiting for a breeze that may never come, I just use the pool. My job is hot enough (running ovens in a bakery), but I always feel sorry for people working outside when it hits 100.

Oh, yes, Monkey Man, I have had this happen to me almost every afternoon here in our gorgeous valley. Thank God for breezes. What on earth is that photo of?

Oooh..that was very nice. I love the feel of the sun sinking down to my bones! Although, it's been a little TOO hot for my liking lately. :)

Great post, as always MM. I hope you are enjoying your summer!

I will try not to be so much like Brett Fahvre sp? I had to ask my kids who he was but they did explain what he is "famous" for.

;)

Take good care!!

It has been extreme weather here, but in this you also give a presence of a slight breeze along the heat of summer, cooling a bit within the sweat. Nicely written.

I don't know, MM... I think this guy's spent a little too much time in the summer sun - breeze or not, his back looks pretty crispy!
