Be my guest 55

“Guest post on my blog?” I asked hopefully.

My head in her hands, she whispered. The words warm with love and gentle as a summer breeze, “Peanut butter toast, Grandma Betty, August 3rd, Lasagna, Amelia Earhart, shrubbery, Dorothy, garden tomatoes, keys, Irish Whiskey and Anastasia.”

Each word a story unto itself of our shared lives.

You leave a lot of questions in this one.
That's what writing should do.

Funny how a single word can be a story in itself. Nice job. Speaking of garden tomatoes, we picked our first ones yesterday!

Did somebody say 'Irish Whiskey'?

(I'd like to hear a few chapters of THAT story!)

Nice 55, MM!

I love it, the secret stories, the language shared from a life shared. So very romantic.

Tea you have to include cups of tea and the unsaid emotions as it handed over. Sadly, my evil employer expects me to work occasionally for my wages and this week has meant a whole lot of lobbying, prize-giving, speech-making, and back-room politicking - oh and lots of trains and planes. So thanks for dropping by and the comments. I would add that the story has no reference to anyone I know - living or dead. And that mean my wife...because she reads the blog.

Ah what our imagination can do with those words! You leave us wondering. ;)

This was *beautiful*, MM. I don't even need to hear the stories...just knowing they exist is kind of the point, right?

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on mine as well (even if I did sort of gross you out a little bit, lol!)

I love how one word can tell an entire story between two people. :)
