Fighting 55

The strength of loyalty
and the endurance of
snow capped mountains
kept them moving forward.
Nothing could hold them back
as they struggled
to achieve the impossible.
Pushing with a heart
forged of molten metal
the immovable object
become as pliable as taffy.
Slowly they emerged.
Fans no brick wall would ever be holding back.

You can find this sculture at Oregon State University's Reser Stadium.

A Tribute to the fans of Beaver Nation

LOVE this!!! Your 55 and the art. But I won't comment on the 'beaver' part.

Mine this week is another 'non-fiction' fictionalized version. Butt to naked butts

I too love your 55 brought into expression by the sculpture.

My last week's and this week's 55 were inspired by pictures I was attracted to.

Wonderful sculpture! I really like your 55, which powerfully captures the spirit of loyal fans. I don't know anything about the Beavers, but we Boston Red Sox fans know all about hanging in there through the tough times.

I've seen images like that before, and I always found it eery or something. Regardless, you always have the knack for describing it just right in 55.
