55 In Gratitude

The cursor blinked at him as he stared at the blank screen.
Dit.
Dit.
Dit.
“How do I thank them all?” he pondered.
He had never experienced such an out pouring
of kindness, caring, love, prayers and warmth.
Dit.
Dit.
Dit.
“Something creative and funny?"
"Something straight forward and sincere?”
Why not just –

“Thank You.”

This 55 is written for all of you who took the time to visit my blog of Monday titled "Parade of Love". It was written in honor of my mother who passed away early that morning. My family and I truly thank each and every one of you for your kind thoughts and prayers. May you all be blessed.

You're a great friend, Monkey Man! I'm so glad that so many people reached out to you in your time of sorrow. You're good people.

I wish you and yours remembrance, closure and peace.

Your mom was very lucky to have you as her son and I know you made her very proud.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My folks will both be 90 this August, so I feel the imminent sadness. Sometmes the best thing to say is a simple Thank you.

I'm late to the parade, but offer my condolences too.

You're right about the support of bloggy friends. When my book came out I was overwhelmed by all the people who stepped forward to support me. I had no idea there would be so many.

I am sorry for your loss.

And I really appreciate this post. To want to say so much and then to realize the simple, universal "thank you" says it all.

God bless.

Ah, the updated version of Writer's Block, where you get a flashing dot instead of a blank piece of paper.

Loved this one!
{And remember to give my sympathies to your pollen challenged wife too!}

Your mom "raised you up well" (as my Aunt Dotty would have said). She would be proud of you.

Oh, and you're very welcome.

My 55 is up here.

I was sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I hope you are doing ok. This was a lovely 55 ---and yes, "Thank you" is sufficient for all the kindnesses you have received at this sad time.

I've been out of the loop on the Flash 55 for a while. I took some time off when my mother died (age 95) a few months ago. Now I'm taking a class that is taking most of my time, so I haven't been keeping up with my three blogs as I would like. But thanks for stopping by to see my monkey art work.
