Garbage 55

Garbage day.

He was excited,

having anticipated this day

all week.

All that work

to clean things up.

Bulging black trash bags

overflowing the green plastic bin.

Would they notice

it was much heavier than normal?

After the mechanical arm

raised the can and

dumped its contents,

he sat back and

enjoyed the silence.

Alone.

Nice to visit again. It's been a long couple of months. Hoping to get back to normal now...whatever that is!

Ah, silence is golden. Except for the beating of the heart under the floorboards.

Wicked subtle. Silence is golden.

I guess that would be an easy way to dispose off a dead body. But there is one hitch...they will find out who is missing from the neighborhood where thw truck went :)
