No Rose Bowl

It was a classic battle.
Back and forth.
Toe to toe.
A true heavyweight fight.
No one deserved to lose,
but in the end
it wouldn't be Roses for beloved Beavers.

This is a Sunday 160.
Take the 160 Challenge if you dare.

But better yet, Challenge yourself to post the best comment. There may even be a prize!

I am not up for the challenge. You and Brian are masters and I am an amateur. Fantastic post but those poor Beavers. :(

He was right. No one deserved to lose. But, in reality, no one did. For when the final seconds ticked away, the scorekeeper found his err. Too many minutes.

I had to read the comments to realize you were talking about a stupid football game. My mind went completely different in its direction.

Mary Shelley frowns as Al, the Gonquin’s owner, with a dramatic conspiratorial wink, places a blood-red rose in front of her and says, “From a secret admirer.”

I'm the world's biggest beaver fan. I'm still mad about the civil war. LOVED the black rose pic :)
I'll settle for the Vegas Bowl, it will still be a good game. And for the ducks, I still haven't decided if I can bring myself to root for them. Its so hard to switch gears and suddenly *cough* root for them. Hmmmmmmm...
