Sunday 160 - The End

It had been a coaster ride of emotions –
happy,
sad,
angry,
funny,
depressed,
inspired –
but the time had come
for the ride to end.
Stay inspired
and
good bye.

This is the last Sunday 160 I will host. I began writing Sunday 160's as a way to commit myself to a weekly blog post. Now the time has come to take a break. Thank each and every one of you for participating at some time over the past couple of years.

Thanks for being a wonderful host MM and turning me onto the joys of micro-writing. I've enjoyed it immensely.

I don't blame you one bit for wanting/needing a break--enjoy yourself. Hope to see you around...

Monkey Man, since it is your last hosting--for awhile?--I'm breaking the rules, posting mine a couple hours early.

This is like the end of an era, you are an icon in this blog-world, man!

But, you WILL be hanging around...right?

PEACE!

Oh! Here is MY 160

Well that's a real shame - but I totally understand. Thanks for being a great host and encouraging us to play along with you!

Please feel free to drop by my blog whenever you're in the neighbourhood.

I've played this week. Sorry it's a bad tempered one to finish on.

You are one Cool Host...even if I crashed in more than I brought a dish. :)

What seems to happen in blog land is that we eventually get overwhelmed wit having to comment. It becomes a chore after a while, especially when a meme grows large. It's hard to keep up with.

However, if I created something like this, I think I'd throw a linky up every week and let people use my site as a home base. Just saying :)

How strange! What do I find, but the word 'end' - which compliments the 160 I've just written HERE in a most uncanny fashion!

I'll miss you, too. I loved the challenge of the 160. Mine is a tiny rage against censorship. In a nice way.

Why don't you pick someone you trust to run it for you until you are ready to take it back?

Oh Monkey, that is a shame. I know lots of people enjoy the challenge, myself included. I know I haven't always been consistent in dropping in, but your 160s will be missed. Best of luck in your future endeavors & enjoy the break.

Goodbye!

I didn't get a chance to post today and even though I'm a fairly recent newcomer, I will miss this. Thanks for hosting & for inspiring us :)

Hey! I'm glad I got one up last week, for your PENULTIMATE Sunday 160. Goofed off today though, so nothing to offer as your swan song. Except that it was fun and challenging. You offered a forum for fooling around with the building blocks of language (!), using letters and spaces and punctuation too as tools for terse communication.

I'll tell you the truth, MM, nobody was ever your equal with the knee-slapping 160-character joke. Nobody ever even came close, except maybe Galen.

And I LOVED seeing the -30- .... that antiquarian typesetting codeword for DONE. Well, no, I didn't love it, exactly, more feared it, at first, wondering just how far finished were you about to be? I then LOVED it with sheer relief that MM Himself was not history.

I haven't been getting around as often this past season, but a tour of my garden today tells me that Blogland is calling, since the dahlias have officially croaked in this cold spell. I'll stop by more often, especially for Wednesdays. I think of you whenever a news story leaves me blinking.

And I'll miss your terse jokes.

Not done blogging though, I would hope? Just the 160, right?

Well if I said I would miss Sunday 160 I would be disingenuous as I believe this is my first time visiting your blog. If I have been here before it's been awhile. I like the variety of content here. I would love to follow but Blogger isn't letting me at the moment.

How does Mrs Monkey Man feel about all of this, one must ask?

Ok, so I've been MIA for awhile and am trying to catch up on my reading and... It's over? Boo! I love the 160 Sunday. I understand a break is sometimes necessity (I believe I'm taking am extended break), but please say it's not the end in the forever sense of the word.
