Under the comfort and warmth
of calm blue Pacific Northwest skies
he counted his blessings
and hoped those same skies
would soon appear
on the eastern seaboard.

smiles. thank you for the thoughts...we are far enough inland we only got wind and a few showers...my brother in richmond has been without power most of the night and lost a gazebo, so far...prayers up for everyone...
mine will be up sometime tomorrow...
I share the very same sentiments MM... I have been thinking and praying for all in the path of Irene and hope that the forcasted storm surge isn't as bad as what has been predicted. We in QLD know only too well what those along the Eastern Seaboard are being faced with. A very thoughtful 160. Stay safe everyone!
I sincerely wish n pray it dies down without causing anymore flutters!!
Many hugs xo

That was kind, Monkey Man. You might leave scathing and honest comments on my blog, but you really are a nice guy on the inside! :)
That is one huge cloud to wish away.

Thanks for hopes- blue skies tomorrow !
Good thoughts. And fingers crossed for everyone on the east side this week.
I'm up here.
I did one but it won't let me paste a link- sorry.
I'm lucky to live in a place that rarely has bad weather. I can't imagine the stress this causes people, or that they get used to it.
We have comfortable accommodations, if anyone needs a guest room...
yo man, just dropped mine at the waystation...
happy sunday
My subject this week is the same as yours--Irene. Florida missed it this time--I'm so grateful! I'm also glad that it had diminished as much as it had before landfall was made. Take care out there people!

waana to bless all,
how divine.
beautiful 160.
posted mine.
Thanks for the sentiment, MM. Irene will pass over about seven miles to our east (close enough as dammit, as the Brits might say) within the next couple of hours, but it looks like she's running out of steam. The winds are down to 58 mph, and she still has a bit of ground to cover to get to us. We'll be very wet, but I think we'll be fine otherwise.
Kind sentiments, good write!
Here's mine.
thoughts & prayers with everyone ♥

Oh, I miss Portland!! You guys have had your share of unpleasant weather this summer, but nothing like what the East coast is getting. Nice of you to want to share your sunshine :)
Mine is here
I watched it unfold on fourteen different channels and could only think of being at sea during a couple of them thirty five years ago and how this one, the worst part of it is going to be getting the republicans in government to get off some relief cash.
Well-spelled, brother Peep!
