Awakened in the dark of night -
sweating,
fearful,
heart pounding -
he felt paralyzed.
Alone.
Arms and legs bound.
He hated the confinement of a down mummy bag.

Oh I hate that feeling too.... great 160, can feel the confinement.
Joanny
lol - yep - can feel uneasy - but lying in a cool tent, wrapped in a warm down mummy bag can also be a very nice, comforting feeling...
my 160 is up as well
have a fantastic sunday!
Great 160 with a good twist.
my new one is here http://tracyhsays.com/2010/08/07/august-8-2010-onomatopoeia/
Trapped like a rat!
Excellent 160 My Friend..
I played again this week...
My 160 is up -- although I must concede that being trapped in a warm cocoon downy sleeping bag is a whole lot better then my small attempt .

smiles. it took me a bit to get used to one when i was living ourdoors...but they are so warm, i learned.
my 160 is here.
Hmmm...sounds kind of cozy, to me. :)
Nice 160, MM...very evocative.
Mine is HERE , make sure you dress up...it's an occassion.
OMG! They are so claustrophobic.
Now I really understand why camping is not my "bag". :)
My 160 is up.

Personally, I always liked that cocooned feeling. Eek! I'm weird.
My effort is here. Thanks.
hey, monkey man...now here's a great 160!! i have to agree with the majority...it's tough trying to get out of when you realize you shouldn't have had that last cup of coffee!
you can find my offering right here:) have a good one!
Very descriptive 160, MM. That's a feeling I know too well. It was the basis of many a childhood nightmare.
My 160 is up up.
LOL! Very funny MM.
I'm up too. This time, I combined your meme with Magpie Tales.
My heart was crying for the plaintive wails and then.... the punch line. I am so flipping gullible!
I wrote my 160:

i too am claustrophobic, no mummy bags..comforter below my chin, if i ever need an MRI they might as well just let me die already. Funny twist to the story. Mine is up. (sorry, I can't figure out how to do that "linking" thing).
When I was a kid I hated mummy bags, but I've since found they really are warmer, and sometimes that matters.
My 160 is here.
Shivers - don't like those mummy bags at all... Great 160!
here's mine
I knew it was coming...but I didn't guess it.
Ooohh.. that sent chills down my spine! Brrr...
A neat 160!!!!
Here is mine..
Happy Sunday 'all!! :D

I hate that feeling
Nice One
Mine is in a tree
very good. Although I can't blame the bedding, must be menopause, Ha!
Mine is up, but cleverless and -
what was I going to say again?
Dianne
Yikes, that sounds too scary. I don't like the feeling of confinement.
Another reason why I don't go camping! Good one!
Hope you and yours are happy and well. Thanks for your support last week.
:)
I love camping and now sadly will be calling my sleeping bag the mummy bag although I think that beats the zombie bag :-) Great piece.
Ack! I immediately felt claustrophobic! But I guess that was your intent! ha!
Nothing like a mummy bag on a summer night in the wilds, or a cold room.
This is my first try with the 160 character challenge. It's fun. Might even try it again.
:-)
Su-sieee! Mac
This and That. Here and There. Now, Sometimes Then.
I hate my feet not to be free...I am a restless sleeper. Great description. I finally made it here tonite! Happy Sunday!
I like being tucked in tight. My 160 is up at http://shewriting.blogspot.com/2010/08/welcome-home.html
Better late than never I hope.
ha...an excellent 160..boy do i know that feeling when i am camping...i get so trapped, takes me ages to right myself...wasnt around yesterday..cheers Pete
some one should let him know it is the wrong time of year for a full down mummy bag.
Great 160 post. I can't sleep unless one of my feet are on top of the covers, so no mummy bags for me...unless I could cut a hole in it.
Thank U for the kind words in Joanny's blog regarding her 160 about me,
I appreciate your openness in embrace of me, I am not perfect, am simply one of you...
God Bless!
Happy Monday!
You have painted quite the vivid picture here ..... I'm wiggling just reading it!
Can you say claustrophobia!!
