Save the Whales

The Ady Gil was recently added to the protest fleet
of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
The vessel, which runs on low emission, renewable fuels
will be used to scare off Japan’s Antarctic whaling fleet.
When interviewed about what renewable fuel
will be available in the Antarctic,
the vessel’s skipper replied,
“Whale oil, of course.”

This is a Flash Fiction Friday 55.
If you want to know what the hell that means visit g-man.
The challenge is on.

While I am sure whale oil would work, I very much doubt the fine folks at the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society would even sniggle at my attempt to poke fun at them. Click on the Ady Gil link above for the whole story. Be sure to listen to the spooky music intended to scare the Japanese whaling fleet. Good luck to these people in their efforts to save the whales.

Wow. That was a great twist on the news. Even if it is fiction it could still be reality. Thanks for visiting mine!

Typical....if this is a 'true' fiction [what a typical contradiction of terms I'M using...geez]...then this is so typical. And not surprising in the least.

MY 55 is all about snow suits and the urge....come see HERE

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Oh my goodness. I didn't see that coming at all. Well done. The Ady Gil looks menacing if you ask me but I love it. Well done my friend. :) Have a great Friday :)

Loved it! I am adding it to my list of things that just don't make sense to me like non-alcohol beer and decaf coffee. I'm like, what's the point, man? :-D

Thanks for stopping by, too.

Laughing. I'm all for saving the whales, but I sniggled at the whale oil too.

Ooooh... I love the look of the AdyGil. Weird name, neat watercraft. Looks like something Batman would drive. :)
Not sure if they'll actually end up stopping the whalers, but I admire their intentions.
And... not sure what this says about me, but I actually like the music they used. :)

We dragons think it is good to try to save the whales.
But we still liked your 55.

Now there's something you don't see every day. That is one different looking water vessel. I learned something new today.

I was waiting to see Batman jump out of the boat! lol

Seems there is a lil' matter of conscience here. How does a 'whale saving group' justify using whale oil?

Thanks for visiting my 55, I appreciated your comment! :)

Remember that old saying, "Nuke the Whales"?
Great 55, Monkey Man!
